Resume Client Tips

When applying to a role via an applicant tracking system online, or emailing the file, we recommend attaching a PDF version of your resume (and cover letter if applicable).

Why? We’ve created a document that looks great and is typically heavily formatted. How documents will open on another person’s device depends on the fonts they have installed, drive drivers, operating system, and which work processing program they use. To eliminate any chance of the files looking different to an HR team or hiring manager, create a PDF to ensure it appears as intended!

Not sure how to create a PDF? You can typically choose to “Print to PDF” in MS Word, Google Docs or Pages on most devices. Alternatively, you can create a PDF online with Adobe.
